I entered into the tree industry in 2020 driven by a passion for both the excitement and significance of the industry. I saw it as an opportunity to provide a vital service to the community, particularly in helping neighbors recover from storm damage and other challenges. The chance to make a tangible difference in people’s lives by addressing urgent needs and ensuring their safety was incredibly appealing. Additionally, I was drawn to the role of enhancing Lancaster County’s natural beauty. By caring for and maintaining beautiful trees, I enjoy being able to contribute to making our landscapes more visually pleasing and sustainable, creating a richer environment for everyone to enjoy.
Barb Weidman
Barb joined Oak Shade Tree Service in 2020 when Nick purchased the business. She plays a key role in the company, handling accounting, administration, supporting the sales team, and managing phone calls. Her primary goal is to ensure smooth communication between customers and the work crew while providing support to the entire team. Barb enjoys the welcoming office environment, the respect among her colleagues, and the opportunity to engage with customers. With a passion for both people and numbers, she finds her work both fulfilling and enjoyable.

Justin Bushey
Justin, the Operations Manager and Sales Rep at Oak Shade Tree Service, discovered his passion for tree work when he first saw someone swinging in a tree with a chainsaw strapped to their hip. From that moment, he knew this was the career for him. He began working on trees in the Mainline near Philadelphia, and in 2021, his family made the move to the scenic Lancaster County. There, he continued his work and met Larry in 2022 and found they both have the same passion for tree work. As his involvement in the industry deepened, Justin developed a fascination with tree biology, focusing on their growth and health. In early 2024, both he and Larry joined Oak Shade Tree Service, where Justin now thrives as part of the team, eager to see just how far they can take the company.
Larry Hazelwood
Larry, our Shop Operations Manager and Safety Director, discovered his passion for tree work in 2016 during a side job for his demolition business that involved removing a tree. He found that tree work was an art, and it quickly became his passion. Eager to master advanced techniques for tree removal and understand the science of pruning, he embraced the adrenaline and rush that came with working in trees. Larry began working with Justin in 2022, and they soon realized their shared passion for the industry. In early 2024, both joined Oak Shade Tree Service, where Larry now brings his expertise and love for complex, technical removals to the team. He enjoys every challenge and loves providing valuable service to his Quarryville community, where he lives with his family of six.
